Backyard Pool

While finishing my first bachelors degree in Communications, I took an introductory course to landscape architecture. I quickly realized I had overlooked an area of design in college that I really enjoyed. I completed my first degree in Communications, but this class led me to pursue a degree in landscape architecture later on.

This was the final project for that course. Our assignment was to design a residential yard and include a pool, outdoor kitchen and dining area. We were given specific plants and pieces of furniture that we had to use.

I had fun with the grade change in the back corner of the yard and added a bridge over a waterfall that led to a small diving rock and and short water slide, which would be hidden from view near the house.
