- Department-wide charrette
For Layton, Utah, our senior capstone class organized a department-wide, week-long charrette to pinpoint anchor areas for organizing the city’s growth. After presenting the findings from our charrette to some of the city’s planners, our class moved forward exploring and planning ideas about how the growth should occur.
My team focused on the historic center which had been cut off from further development after the interstate divided the city. Our plan would bring added focus to the city’s original core by orienting development to the existing FrontRunner commuter rail stop.
